Burnell Groft

Born in McScherrystown and now for the past ?? years lives in Hanover Pa. At the age of 14 my brother gave me a lap steel guitar(no amp). The first song I learn to play was,"Steel Guitar Rag" I love the sound the instrument made. After a short army duty in the 50's I join my older brothers band "The Twlight Entertainers" we played clubs and carnivals and two radio show on Saterday.W.H.V.R. jn Hanover and W.G.E.T. in Gettysburg Pa. There was a lot of playing in this area in the 60's 70's and 80's and with the band I played in,we did most of them. I still like doing the old country. Some of the new stuff is OK.
